Today we are adding a new system for measuring the complete tank capacity in various tank applications for shipbuilding and offshore. This system includes programming, tank curve and specific weight settings. The height of the tank can vary from 0.40cm to 20m. The BD|SENSORS probes LMK478 and LMK 458 are available now at H&H Level.
LMK 487
The hydrostatic probe 487 has been developed for measuring level in service and storage tanks and is certificated for marine and offshore applications. The probe can be used in areas such as drinking water abstraction and desalinization plant. Or in Shipbuilding / Offshore areas such as monitoring the ship’s position and draught level measurement in ballast and storage tanks.
In comparison to the hydrostatic probe model LMK 458, the external diameter is only 22 mm which makes it easily installable in 1″ pipes. Along with its permissible operating temperature to 125 °C and the possibility to use the device in intrinsic safe areas enables users to measure the pressure of various fluids such as diesel and gas under extreme conditions.

LMK 458
In contrast to the hydrostatic probe LMK 487 which has a diameter of 22 mm, the LMK 458 has a slightly thicker diameter, namely 39.5 mm. The basis for the LMK 458 is a capacitive ceramic sensor element designed by BD|SENSORS, which offers a high overload resistance and medium compatibility.
