What we can offer within the Shipbuilding / Maintenance industry

The shipbuilding and maintenance industry utilizes sophisticated liquid level measurement technologies, including radar, ultrasonic, float sensors, magnetostrictive sensors and capacitance sensors, to deliver highly accurate and reliable measurement solutions. The float forms the core of every H&H level gauge and, like the rest of the gauge, it is customized to the specific situation. These advanced technologies are instrumental in ensuring optimal performance and safety of vessels and their onboard systems.

Accurate measurements in all circumstances

In the shipbuilding and maintenance industry, liquid level measurement is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vessels. Accurate measurement of liquid levels, such as fuel, ballast, and wastewater, is critical to maintaining optimal vessel performance and preventing potential hazards. At H&H Level, we know better than anyone how to measure levels in various tanks, such as fuel oil tanks and black water tanks from toilets. The float level meters are not affected by the rolling waves or heavy engines.

Project Audacia

A great project that we at H&H Level contributed to is the vessel 'Audacia', built at the Rotterdam Docks. The Audacia lays pipelines while sailing in reverse. Pipe sections are welded together at the bottom of the ship, linked and pushed out at the bow. This results in a consistent pipeline installation on the seafloor. You may wonder, what does H&H Level have to do with this? Well, we did the entire level measurement of ballast tanks, fuel tanks, water tanks, and all other tanks.

Shipbuilding total measurement solutions

Measuring levels in tanks on ships using float techniques is only a part of our portfolio. Sometimes, a project requires more than that. Take, for example, the need for a redundant system where we combine our float level sensors with guided radar. In the event of a power outage, the float is still in contact with the liquid. Guided radar emits a certain signal that changes when it encounters a different friction, such as that caused by a liquid. This indicates where the liquid level is, or where a certain amount of foam has formed. In short, there is always a solution for the customer. We are happy to think along with you, even for custom-made solutions.
